Tooling odds and ends

I put up a pictorial display of some of the tooling I have built for this sport here:

http://www.the-long-family.com/tooling.htm

Had fun making it all, and using them helps ever so much in building and loading for the rifles. The best part is shooting them after the build!

Cheers,

Chris

Wow!

Please come to my shop, photograph my shop made tools, and fix up my website.

Here is a 19mm CZ527 to Weaver mount adapter I made today.

Thanks for sharing Techshooter. You answered a few questions I had on tooling.
What a great site and great forum for shooters. I love this site.

Chris,
Great pictures. I see you are using an olde Atlas,Sears?) flat bed. It too gave me great service and I also notice that your belt guard broke off the same as mine did. Keep up the great work

A guy gave me that little lathe back in the early 80's, for nothing, just to get it out of his junk pile. It was sitting rusting in his back yard, out in the weather for who knows how long. Motor, etc., just sitting there. It was covered with grease, which I found out did a good job of keeping the rust off the important parts. The belt engagement tower was broken, requiring some brazing, and a new set of Timken bearings were needed for the headstock. The bearings cost me about $28 bucks as I recall. I can't tell you how much I have used that little lathe since then. It is my primary case prep tool now, and I can go through trimming and primer pocket cleaning at a very high rate. Wouldn't be without it.

Cheers,
