Tool Progression. cartoon

Once upon a time (1999), I had to remove a Vietnam era shock absorber from a friendly neighborhood APC. Two of the three bolts (presumably also Vietnam era) came out with only a gallon or two of sweat, but the third...

The mechanics refused to give me any fancy stuff, or let the welder have at it. I was using the biggest breaker bar in the motor pool, with a cheater pipe, with a tanker bar on the other end of the cheater pipe, and then finally another cheater pipe on the end of that. Forgot the BFH. It's got to fit in there somewhere, in the progression. Of course, that's variable. With some it's first on the list. With me, it's prior to the acetylene torch.

DIY'ers Vital Tool Kit: duct tape; bailing wire; a BFH; and one Band-Aid. :D
