My can is a 30 caliber. I run it on everything 22RF to center fires of all types. Mine is a threaded and I can take the baffles out to clean. I never leave mine on.
I did not and will not chop a barrel because of length. Yeah I am a speed freak as well as accuracy nut. If I hunted a lot of heavy timber and brush, I may rethink that.

Mine works as good as any brake I ever had, with a huge plus in knocking down blast.
Maybe I have been lucky, I have not had a major issue in groups moving or POI changing a lot.
My full bull and HV barrels zero issue.
