Too much time to dream up crazy schemes.

What if a 4-man team from Prince Memorial Range (Pioneer LA) challenged a 4-man team from the Dasher Dome in a 600 yard 4 target postal match? I have not discussed this with anyone, but the rules should be fairly simple: 1) Use IBS 600 yard Benchrest targets for score only 2) Rifles are .30cal or smaller weighing no more than 22 pounds 2) Only shooters who shoot at the range regularly are eligible (no ringers) 3) 7 minute time limit for 5 shots. 4) 2 minute sight-in period prior on gongs before the record targets (no sighters after this 2 minutes). 5) Both teams are to shoot at the same date. The honor system will hold for all shooters. The results along with pictures could be posted here if Paul permits. Is this feasible or am I suffering from too much cabin fever. Good shooting ….James

Is there any interest from the Dome bunch? The Dasher is still king down this way, but the BRA is gaining ground. These proposed rules are not set but are just some of my thoughts.

How about all four shooters have to be on site at the range and shoot their targets at the same time, just like a regular match.
That sounds like a good idea. We have 20 benches and can follow the Governor's separation order by using every other bench. It sounds as if you have had quite a few "ringers" especially with Schatz and Sauter. We have had Brian Bowling shoot a couple of times but he is not a regular. This was just my idea of getting some shooting done during this time of quarantine. Thanks for the response.

Brian Bowling has been yo the DOME two times also. I will see what Roy Long , junebug, and Shayne say. Maybe Carlson. I might be an alternative in case one of my guys come up with Corona.

I plan to be the organizer of our group (or agitator). I may, like you, serve as an alternate. If your team has a desire to drive about nine hours, we would welcome you to come down and shoot at our range. It is located near Oak Grove in extreme NE Louisiana.

I think Troy, ttfreestyle, Dead Zero match director wants to enter a team

I would prefer a head-to-head match. However, we will be delayed some because of our 3-5 inch weekly rain fall. We have some flooding on the range now. If your team is ready and Troy's team is ready, why don't y'all have a match against each other. Let me know what you think. James

James, Larry Deese at Walker County now has a 600 yard line that can be used by 8 Benches.

This sounds interesting. It’s real similar to what Mike Cocroft had set up with Australia in the 500 meter Fly Shoots.

The problem with those is when it’s summer here, it’s winter there.

I could round up 3 other guys.
