Too Many Guns?

We had an incident here in our rural area yesterday that could have gone very bad. This culminated about three miles from our farm. Our Sherrif's Department and the neighboring County Department, along with the State Patrol did a superb job of keeping our citizenry safe. While my wife and her sister were discussing it on the phone today, her sister said that there were just "too many guns" on the scene. I can't figure out what some people want. I say Bravo for our law enforcement. I'm sure many of you put up with a large criminal element daily. We currently do not and I surely hope it doesn't come to us in the future. As always a very sad ending story when life is lost although it certainly sounds
like the individual asked for it.

While in Delaware, we had dinner with one of my wife’s old friends. Somehow, the conversation turned to the Uvalde shooting. The gal said “This has to stop! Do you know you can buy an Uzi on the Internet!??!” I tried to explain the actual process of an FFL transfer but the logic was lost on the emotional women. I finally looked at her and said “Do you know you can buy a young slave girl on the Internet?” She didn’t get it.

I think her husband is the influence. Good Christian people that do much good for their fellow man, but not on the same page as myself in understanding some of the things happening in our country. I suspect the mainstream media is much of the problem. As in the Wizard of Oz, one must pull back the curtain. That requires a bit of time and effort.

I strongly disagree with that statement as it is indicative of the problem. We must stop feeling sorry that the bad guy lost his life. We should be happy that no INNOCENT persons were harmed.

Well, there were about 400 guns on the scene in Uvalde and no one could make the decision to go in and stop the killing. Not law enforcement's best day in South Texas.
