Toning down the color of a laminated stock

As mentioned, the colors are IN THE dyed laminated wood.
Clear coat WILL bring out colors of the laminates you never saw before. :cool: :cool: :cool: Might just as well paint it BLACK and be done with it. ;)

You can change the appearance with candy, yet maintaining the laminate appearance, having a solid understanding of color theory is highly beneficial.
Your comment reminded me of a rod builder I knew who only sprayed solid single stage colors because he didn't have the ability to spray metallics or pearls. Lmfao

Not really, I stay extremely busy just finishing stocks.
When you call Cerakote its very likely my niece will answer the phone.

Cool! I know they have their big training center / HQ up in the NW. Lucky for me they opened a spot in Michigan. I'll be there one of these days.
