Today's Silhouette with the New Tikka T1x

It was fun today using the Tikka. So light! Offhand should have been better. Only hit 2/10 chickens at 50 yards. Did manage 29/30 in the other three categories. I love this little bugger! Particularly when I pick it up! Next week will see Capstone for a case of lot matched Ammo. For a gun that cost me $485 new it is a real value!!

Anyone else liking there Tikka?

I love mine! Reliable, accurate, handles well and it didn't "break the bank". I highly recommend replacing the factory pistol grip with their aftermarket vertical pistol grip. This provides a much better trigger finger position for precision shooting.

I purchased mine in 2023 with the goal of increasing my trigger time economically. To keep costs manageable, I use CCI Standard Velocity ammo.

I shoot at an NRA A17 target which has 10 each, 1 1/2" bulls plus one sighter. I shoot at 50 yards off a bipod and rear rest.

I keep a record of my scores. I shoot 3 shots per bull which gives me a 30-shot match. The 3 shot per bull is easy to score. Besides being a lot of fun, it's economically and I can measure my performance. It a great way to get me out of the house and enjoy the range on a nice day.

Is yours the newer one with the ejector molded with the magwell? Mine is.the wire ejector that has ejection hiccups once or twice per 10 round mag. If you purchased this recently for $485 that is a good price. I may be in the market for a 2nd one. My Tikka T1X shoots right up there with my CZ457 Varmint in ARA factory class.

Some joker on gun broker had 5-6 T1Xs and was auctioning them. I put $475 and raised to $485.
Not bad if you're not in a hurry.
The Magwell is plastic. Not sure if that is new or old?
I did buy the replacement grip and bolton fore stock.
