Todays Rant!!

Straighten out a paper clip and file a sharp point on one end. Using a pair of pliars bend a 90 degree at the sharp end such that it can be inserted into the neck all the way back to the interior of the casehead! You can manipulate the sharp end back and forth to ascertain by feel if there is a formed groove in the brass where separation would occur!

Gun Broker just took off one of the best functions for search. I look for used FAs 99% of the time. That function appears to be missing. I am sure GB wants us to look at all the new crappy firearms listed. I hold my nose looking at new firearms. They are for the most part, pure junk. I know it is possible to find used FAs, but it is one more step and a PIA.

90 firings??? I’ve heard of 25-35, but 90 is ridiculous
Not at all. Back in My LEE LOADER days I only loaded 10 rounds at a time. I would get 100 reloads out of those 10 cases. Then I would go to the other 10 in the box. 200 reloads from a box of Remington ammo. Never lost a case, only retired them because I felt it was time. Of course I used the appropriate LEE DIPPER for the round and powder I was reloading. Which is quite conservative. I only cared about MINUTE OF DEER accuracy, and could care less about muzzle velocity, which I’m sure was slow. Shooting and reloading may have been more fun back then ??
