ok so today was my first ever f class shoot and at 1k to boot. I had a lot of fun and learned a good deal about how wind will kick your a$$.
GO SHOOT ONE SOON
I used a $10 bipod and a 4-14 Nikon prostaff scope in 243 win and to be honest I believe a fellow could turn in a respectable performance with just those so stop thinking you don't have enough scope, gun or gear Go have fun
I shot a 172 1x my first relay then the wind picked up and fishtailed and I shot a 135-0x and then a 145-1x on the 3rd relay I concluded I couldn't focus on the bull and try and keep up with the wind so I just concentrated on breaking good shots at the bull. My target ended up with 2 groups of 6-7's at 3 and 9 o'clock so I learned you CANNOT forget the wind I had fun, I learned, I recommend trying it. Also I like electronic targets until they don't read a shot that felt good or one shows up well away from where I think it broke you can't argue or double check a target but it is nice to see your hits almost instantly
