Today's turnout was better than I expected with folks coming in from as Far west as Savannah TN, and folks coming from NC., VA., AL.

We had 24 LG shooters and 23 HG shooters with 3 Factory Gun shooters.

Were you shooting the 22 Dasher?

Do you know what caliber Dave Tooley was using. Was it that 6x44 of his?

Thanks, it was a bit tough running the match and kinda getting in the zone to shoot well.. I was a bit run down and hyped up as well trying to make sure everything went well with no glitches.

Were you shooting the 22 Dasher?

I shot my 6 Dasher in LG and my 22 Dasher in HG class.
The 6 Dasher ammo was fresh but my 22 Dasher ammo had been loaded for about 3 mos from when I went to Ohio to shoot and there weren't enough there to shoot. I have no data on accuracy for match ammo sitting this long so I don't know if there are any effects.
I do know that on 2 Targets I had 1 group with 4 shots under 1" and one shot dropped out the bottom the other target the group was like 1.5" with one flyer shot again out the bottom. So the potential is there.

Dave shot his 30 boo boo in both classes and he shot well as usual with them both.

James, you deserve kudos for running the show and still putting in a great performance behind the trigger.

Re the 30 BooBoo. This just proves that there are many ways to skin the cat at 600 yards, and, if you can handle the recoil, the big 30s are plenty accurate. Dave's not one to blow his own horn but I'm going to give him a call and congratulate him.

Update: Dave got back to me and says: "[The BooBoo is] A little overkill, maybe, but it's fun to shoot an accurate rifle. I would have been shooting my 6X44 but I let another guy shoot it."
