TN MR State Championship

Shooters

MSM will be hosting this year's Tennessee Mid Range State Championship at AEDC on 2/3 September.
This will be combined, both Prone and F-Class. This match will be shot on e-targets and competitors will
be responsible to provide their own electronic device, capable of signing in to a wi-fi signal. ( tablet, smart
phone or similar device). Shooters are asked to bring a portable canopy if available, to help cover the firing
line. Registration will be from 0730 - 0830, if you arrive after 0830 you may not be able to be squadded. So
be on time ! For those interested, the top shooter in each category will be the overall match winner. The top
Tennessee resident shooter will be the TN state champion
Hope to see everyone at the match. I've attached a copy of the match program, please read this before
contacting me with questions.

What do we need to download for scoring before we get to the match ?
Your tablet or phone must be wi-fi capable, and you must have a web browser such as Safari or Chrome available. Chrome is generally the most reliable, in our experience. There is no specific program required to download for your tablet to "see" e-targets other than a standard browser. One other consideration is that Apple iPads have a tendency to overheat and shut down before other devices do, so if you are starting from scratch, a Samsung or Lenovo tablet would be favorable. Yes, your smartphone will probably work, but the screen will not be ideal size for this purpose.

Once guys search and acquire the ShotMarker target site, save that page to your favorites so you just touch an icon for future matches.

It can be a devil trying to isolate the site with the string of numbers and/or in combination with logical words, for unfamiliar devices on the line. I imagine that’s true of others as well.

One week to go. I hope everyone is ready! Please bring a canopy so we can cover the firing line.

Does this match usually fill up? I'm asking since there's no advance registration and I'm 6.5 hours away in the Florida panhandle, I'd hate to get there and not be able to get in. Currently waiting on a friend to see if he's interested in going as well.

I understand your concern given the driving distance. We will be able to allow entry for all of those who show up. We have never turned anyone away because we were over capacity.

If worse comes to worse and we have too many people show up, we have a few local guys we don't really like that we can turn away so that you can have a spot.

I'm meeting with my buddy this morning and I'll try to convince him to make the trip. He's said that he'd actually been there several times.

Verify connection to the ShotMarker Access Point on the firing line in your Wifi settings.
Once that is done, enter into your browser, 192.168.100.1, the IP address of the ShotMarker web page, universal across all ShotMarkers.
Once you connect, and see the target page, as David notes, bookmark it. It will work for other ShotMarkers at other matches, once you connect via WifI to the AP.
The ShotMarker AP SSID/WiFi name can be unique. Check with the match director to verify. For example, it can be "ShotMarker", or in my case I named it "ShotMarker4" when I was on the range with other users on other channels. Regardless of the WiFi name, the website address is always 192.168.100.1.
If this has been helpful, great.
If this has been worthless crap, I apologize.

OK, so anyways... Weather looks good! We hope to see all of you tomorrow!
