Just wanting some opinions on Tipton Ultra Jags.I understand that they are nickle plated. Will they harm the barrel?

They are good, no more blue patch;s from brass jags. ed

When I first heard about these jags I thought they were great, but the nickel plating concerned me, so I figured who better to call than Krieger. They told me "DO NOT use these jags in our barrels, there is a chance that you will scratch the barrel". So, I never bought them.

But I might give the polymer jags a try after I get Kriegers input on them.

The nickle plating on mine is starting to come off from alot of use. I would not recomend buying them. I am looking into replacing them with polymer type jags.
