Doing this can reduce vertical dispersion by making the BC a little more consistent from bullet to bullet. In general though the BC variance in a box of BERGER BULLETS is 1% or less as is.Has anyone seen verifiable results from tipping length sorted VLD bullets? On face value I doubt there would be significant improvement as the HP tip is already so 'pointed'. I am contemplating trying it for 180gr Berger 7mm VLD Match projectiles.
Sounds like I would just be splitting frog hairs.Doing this can reduce vertical dispersion by making the BC a little more consistent from bullet to bullet. In general though the BC variance in a box of BERGER BULLETS is 1% or less as is.
