Another thing to consider is how accurate is accurate? Maybe in your rifle 3/8 - 1/2 - 3/4 in groups are considered really good groups. If your satisfied with this go for it.

And the folks shooting in the 1s and 2s would consider that really good accuracy.

In 2018 , I spent over a month working up a comp load for the Sierra 175gr TMK . Felt like I was , "Good to Go" for the SWN . No issues through over 300 test rounds , and my scores came up into the 190's . Decent for a then new F-class Marksman . The one thing I had never done was test-fire as though shooting a full string plus sighters in comp time limit . I should have !

Two more 9's in the string , and I shot a 158 - 11x .
My scorer , and the scorer in the next position both told me they watched the bullets go poof about halfway to the target . It was very apparent ; that had I tested for shooting a string on time-frame , I'd have known that my rifle did not like these bullets with a hot barrel , because under normal firings , this issue never showed up . I don't blame the bullet . I blame Me , for not doing due diligence . Some bullets just don't work in some rifles , under certain conditions .
But the shooter next to me was sitting clean on his 17th shot , and had a blow-up on his 18th and 19th shots , which cost him any chance to win . I know it happened , because I saw it through my scope . You couldn't have missed it . A flash , and a small cloud of puff smoke . And the gentleman is a HM , and was shooting the ELD-M . "F" class is a different animal , so know what you're trying to do with the products you chose . And test for all conditions . For the record , I shoot nothing but Berger Bullets in competition now .

I like plastic tipped bullets for my bolt guns, mostly the ones with the red tips. I use hollow points only in my AR (MSR) because the little plastic tips get bashed up upon feeding into the chamber.

Looking at stability, I have found that my rifles will shoot a longer plastic tipped bullet than a hollow point bullet. Doing the Miller Sg stuff sort of indicates this, the plastic tip length is factored into the calculation.

I was not happy when Hornady discontinued almost all of their Amax bullets - melting meplats? I shoot the 75 .224 ELD but now shoot 87 Vmax bullets & various 6mm 105 hollow points & some green tip bullets vs. Hornady 100 grain or so ELDM & ELDX bullets. Logically, I fail to see how differences in a small chunk of plastic can boost the price of a box of bullets about 30%.
