Tip on lube for precision sizing with your custom dies.

Lets say you have had custom dies made to fit your brass and chamber exactly how you want with just the right amount of shoulder bump and body sizing. What lube do you use.

You might find that Imperial is a little thick. RCBS case lube II may be a little better. You sure don't want any hydro effect on your brass. Enters Ballistol -- slick and thin. Just what you want on custom, tight fitting dies. Not for sizing your .223 brass out of a service rifle. Just your custom dies.

Thanks for the tip Jim. I'm just getting ready to use a custom set from Sid Goodling for my 6PPC......I will surely give it a go.

Best Regards
Rick

You can get more consistent sizing of a case by sizing it very slowly, employing a dwell at the top of the stroke of about 3 or 4 seconds and by multiple sizing stroke with a partial rotation of the case between strokes.
