Timney Hit Triggers -- User Opinions?

Wanting to replace my rem 700 with a Timney hit trigger. Never used one & wondering if their worth the $.

Anyone have experience comparing one to a jewel? I need a trigger similar to the jewel I have in my Eliseo UMR

The HIT is a great trigger and my preferred one to use on a custom hunting rifle build.

A lot like a jewel. Small amount of creep followed by a crisp break, just like a jewel.

I think the Diamond is better than both, for what it’s worth.

I have a hit in my 260 chassis gun and love it. Jewels in others, shilen in one. The hit has served me very well and works well in a prs style gun or hunting. In a match I prefer Jewell or any other that'll go around 2oz to 4oz.

I use to think timney triggers were really good, until i started having issues with them.
Triggertech Diamond is all i buy now....YMMV

When the issues began with Jewell ; I spoke with some extremely knowledgeable World Champions at Ben Avery , and they recommended the Shilen Comp Trigger for my Kelby Panda , TR Rifle , to replace the Jewel . I got one for a back-up when my Jewel gives up the ghost .
