Timney Calvin Elite 2-Stage, 2nd stage creep

I installed a new Timney CE 2-Stage on my Rem 700 trainer last night. After almost 2 hours of adjusting, I'm pretty disappointed. There is a definite 2nd stage creep right before the break. I tried high and low first stage weights, high and low second stage weights, even started to go into the sear adjustments. Nothing seems to make it go away.

Has anyone got one of these triggers to break clean after it wasnt?

I have a Timney CE 2-stage. No creep whatsoever.
Unfortunately I don't remember if i had any issues setting it up besides adjusting the bolt release and 1st stage adjustment did very little.

I think I adjusted the sear for whatever reason but honestly dont remember the specifics.

Overall I really like the trigger.

Old Post, I realize.
Did you find a way to eliminate it? Both of my 2-stage Timneys were horrible. After sending 1 to Timney and having it returned with more creep than before, I sold them both.

I bought one earlier this year. I did not like it the second stage was mushy and long. I tried to adjust it and could not improve it to my satisfaction by adjustment. I called Timney and they suggested I return it, they "touched it up" Im happy with it now.

I have one and couldn’t be happier with it. Performs exactly as advertised with no 2nd stage creep. I also just put a single stage on a new .20 Practical. With only 30 rounds fired, I’m satisfied with it as well
