Timney 510 question.

I bought an unfired SA build off a friend and the build sheet noted a 510 Timney w/thin shoe. When I went to adjust the pull weight, I noticed there was no nut holding the adjustment screw in place, like on my previous Timneys. Is this a new thing? Or did I get one of the new 700 models they have been advertising?

I am betting the nut was lost by the previous 'adjuster'. Buy another. I have had several Timney's and every one had lock nuts on all adjustment screws.

I considered that, but the top screw, on front, didn't have the nut either. The sear adjustment, on rear, did have the standard nut.

Both front screws were flush to trigger body and did not appear to have been touched. Original weight was 4.2#, I backed it til I got 2# average pull. My buddy never touched the rifle, I picked it up at FFL. Anyway, I'm waiting on a reply from Timney to figure it out.

I just put in a brand new 510 for a friend still in package no lock nut on it either came from Midway.

UPDATE FYI:
I got a response from Timney on my question. They said the Loc-nut has been replaced by Nylok washers installed in trigger. "If you look at side of trigger, you will see 2 white dots, right between the two front holes. These will act as the Loc-nut."
