Bought my grandson a Ruger American rimfire recently. This is our second time to the range with it. After finding out which ammo it preferred (SK Pistol Match) and some careful coaching, my grandson was soon picking off 9mm cases almost every time at 50 yards.
So regularly that we made it a little tougher and switched to shooting empty .22 cases. Nailed them about 80% of the time. I told him to shoot the staple holding the target. Took him two shots but he nailed it! Kids a natural! Had more fun coaching him and sharing his excitement than if I had went out shooting for myself.
