Tikka T3X pillar bedding?

Has anyone pillar bedded their T3X plastic stock? Has it made a difference? MTG
It can't hurt anything but certainly should help.
No plastic Tikka for me but ive done 3 Rem SPS 700 it made night and day difference in how they shoot.

If this matters, I have experienced no change in accuracy with a stock swap with a Tikka T3, although I have not specifically done a before/after pillar bedding comparison. Despite them being plastic, they are a different (and better) material than other plastic stocks, and surprisingly serviceable. I would still be curious to see, but not sure if there will be as dramatic a change as with other brands.

I have glass bedded one and no change. I have changed to a metal trigger guard, no change. I have put 3 in a KRG bravo, no change. I have put 1 in a KRG Echo, no change. Notice a pattern? I have one in a super varmint stock that shoots like the others.

Considering the time and money modifying the factory stock is not worth it.

The ergonomics etc of the chassis make them a better use of money in my mind. A carbon fiber stock could be cool, but they are expensive and and probably need glass bedding.

I have always had good luck with Tikka's performing out of the box until my last one. It is a T3X Superlite. The dang thing would shoot two rounds through one hole, then throw the third. After hundreds of rounds of load development, I just couldn't keep it consistent. I decided to install pillars and bed. it. In taking it apart, I did find that that the recoil lug had some distortion and a ridge where it mated with the action.

I don't know if the pillars, the glass bedding, or the new recoil lug did the trick but it has turned into an extremely good shooting gun. The pillars are pretty dang cheap and its an easy job. There really is no downside unless you can't spare a couple hours and $20.

I have 5 T3X lites, 4 of the 5 shoot all shoot well under an inch so I left them alone (the 22-250 will do 3/8"). The 350L shoots a little over an inch so it was good enough for my uses.
