Having owned a Savage Model 12 and a Tikka T3 in 222 Rem I can echo Dave's excellent comments with a few exceptions. My finger fits in the Tikka port and I prefer to have as small a port as possible. Single feeding the T3 is not a problem for me. After discovering the overall high quality of the Tikka I sold the Savage.

Have the T3 Lite and the LRPV in 223 rather than 204. Both very accurate out of the box. No real problems with either.

Struggled mightily with single-loading the T3. Doable, but a hassle. Highly recommend the magazine insert ramp for this purpose.

from my research the Super Varmint is

A) not imported to the US
B) has the same 1500 + price point as the Tikka TAC line

That said the Tikka Tac has a better - higher quality match barrel and other features, which at that price point, makes it a better buy than the S.V.
