Tikka T3 Stainless 7mm-08 Cut Barrel

Thinking I will have it threaded by a local gunsmith. Wondering if having barrel cut down to 20" with threading would hurt the barrel accuracy? Pretty certain I may have to rework my loads.

Anyone ever do this? Were you happy with the results?

Are u threading it for a suppressor or just shortening it in general.

You shouldn't have any issues with it. Expect 20-25fps loss per 1"

Personally I would go as short as possible. I prefer 16" and no more than 18" . Especially if your suppressor is over 6 inches long.

1. It won't hurt accuracy
2. Yes, you will probably have to retune your loads.
3. I only have one rifle left that has a barrel longer than 21" and that one will get rebarreled as soon as my current build is done.
