Tikka T3 mags

Hi!

My shooting pard just picked up a T3 Stainless varminter .223,1: 8 Twist). Reason he bought it was he wanted to launch 69gn and 75gn missiles. The problem is he cant fit the 75's in the mag,not sure about the 69's he didn't mention those!).Defeats the purpose of having a fast twist/ mag feed if you cant load the projectiles

Has anyone got round,pun not intended)this problem?

I have the same rifle. If he's using factory rounds, they should magazine,?), assuming he is seating the cartridge all the way to the rear of the magazine.

If he handloads, 2.265" is max COAL for my magazine- leaving little extra clearance. I load them to 2.262", never have a problem. If he has loaded them longer, just need to press the ball in a bit more.

If Im not wrong, then the Tikka mag is filled out with a spacer to accomodate the shorter rounds of .223 instead of, let´s say 6,5*55

Maybe that spacer can be modified ??

i had the same problem i modified the clip with a drill and some epoxy to my likings in a T 3 chambered in a 300 wsm

Same problem, both with the .223 and also with a swede. I'm thinking about trying to modify the .223 mag but would like to acquire another one before "operating on" the one I have. Anyone know where to purchase extra T3 mags, please pass the info along.
