Tikka T1x first target test

Just shot my first official 22LR target . Tikka T1X. Shilen barrel , Bell and carlson stock . # 6 was my falt adjusted Milrad scope 1 click and fixed it , but it was first time shooting that type of target . Center x ammo was used

It"s custom Rifle using Tikka action , Bell and Carlson stock , 23" Shilen Barrel with Manson match chamber , .900 barrel , i did all the gunsmithing .

Was the barrel a prefit?

No sir ! I have a lathe and did all the work . Factory barrel was not to bad to remove and got mine off without heating action . Was going to try out Lothar Walther but decided to get Shilen and try one out . Very glad I did. .

You get a Ratchet or a Octagon barrel?

Great question. The last couple years I have had numerous guys tell how great their CZs are. I went to a local rimfire shoot, CZs well represented. Not one had a factory barrel.

The target the OP shot is designed for CZ’s, Tikka’s etc…. with a factory barrel. Good target none the less.

Here are some groups I recently shot at 50yds with norma match 1083... it's not the most accurate ammo I've tried but isn't awful, I have an ats tuner on the way and I'll see if it will shrink them down some. If you look closely you can see my aimpoints

Looks like that rifle will work out for you. I would hate to feed it a constant diet of that ammo as it gets to be a pain in the wallet.

The lapua is for sure, the norma match isn't expensive by match standards
