Tikka scope rings

Hello everyone I have a semi custom build in progress Tikka T3 Action, Bell and Carlson long range sporter adjustable cheek piece stock, Proof research carbon fiber barrel 7mm SAUM and a Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 3-18x44.........Setting this up for a long range (1000 yards) Hunting rig. I am trying to decide what scope rings to use? I think I would like to mount the the rings directly to the receiver using the pre-drilled and tapped holes in the receiver. What mounting rings/systems and what height do you all recommend? All and any advice welcome

I’m a fan of picatanny rails, for several reasons.

1- if I’m doing a thorough cleaning of the rifle, I can easily remove scope and protect it from chemicals.
2- if I’m concerned about possible loose screws, it’s easy to pull scope and check torque.
3- it gives me a little more flexibility in finding the perfect eye relief.
4- I find I’m sometimes scope poor. So if I’m working on a project it’s not a big deal to move my scope from one rifle to another.
5- POI rarely shifts more than 1/2 MOA.

I do realize there are advantages to just using a single piece ring mounting setup.

Warne used to have a program to match the proper size rings to the bell size and receiver manufacturer.
I have called them about this and they were very knowledgeable. Unfortunately some of the ring manufacturers use different reference points to measure scope height.

Warne and Talley are my go to rings, and eBay has some excellent prices sometimes.

I used to run the talley lightweight that direct mount and thought they were excellent. However, you probably want 20 moa or something for that saum. My tikka in 7 saum has a 40 moa rail. I prefer seekins pic rings. I have 5 tikkas...
