Tikka M695 Barrel thread pitch

Anyone ever work on one of these if so what was the barrel thread pitch? I would guess its metric which sucks to cut those threads on my lathe. Anyone try a 1x16 tpi with one of these?

I believe it is the same as the Sako 579 or 61 which is actually a 1.60mm pitch. This is so close to the same as 16tpi that everyone just cuts that and calls it good (16tpi=.0625" pitch while 1.60mm is, roughly, .0629"). WH

This. They are metric, just scary close to imperial. Check a factory barrel with a metric pitch gauge and with a 16 TPI and look at them REAL CLOSE with a magnifier.

Actually we’ve had this discussion on here quite a few times. They actually used imperial threads on them (i guess for the american market).
