Tikka 223 Load data

Looking for Tikka 223 Rem. load data. Im aware of safety starting low working up, every barrel is different YMMV I got it.... The way components are right now just trying to see if there is a in general load that works for most people using something similar setup/ components.
1:8 Twist, Factory Barrel (pretty sure its 22" id have to look again). Going to try to use some stuff I have on hand; IMR 8208 XBR, 77 grain Nosler Custom Competition Bullets, Starline Brass, either CCI 400 or CCI 450 Mag primers. Not looking to go over published max loads. Its 15*F here so ill have to check it again in the summer. I don't really want two loads for hot and cold. I'd be happy with 1/2 MOA. Shooting out to 800 although mostly 600yards and in. Thanks in advance.

nosler load data 5.56/.223 and the 77/80 gn CC No data for 8208 powder

My dad built me a 223 for steel varmint and I had one day and zero testing to prepare. I grabbed the 24.4 load of varget with an 80 grain bullet from this page and went to work. Virgin brass and missed his best score by one point. Not a great way to go about things and yes risky, but that's how it happened.

I cannot speak to 8028, but my daughters T3 will shoot Sierra SMK 77's (mag length), SMK 80's, and Hornady 75gr Amax (haven't checked lately, but 1500 rounds ago the just touched) to half MOA at 500 yards with 24 gr RE15 and Rem 7 1/2's. I have some of the 77gr Noslers, but have not tried them yet. May leave the 77's for service rifle and get some 80 gr Hornady ELD-M's

I love the Tikkas and I load for 4 of them but I use Varget and H335. I’d love to help but I got nuthin for 8208. All I can say is good luck! 98% of the time, they shoot!

I have a tikka t3 lite it has a 1/8 twist. I was going to try berger 70 but due to tikka factory mag i cannot seat them where they will feed. I ended up usong some sierra 52gr hpbt match with cfe223 and they shoot great.

I have Varget as well just not as much
Ok. Two Tikka T3s. 223 8 twist Varmint barrels. For one: LC brass, CCI 400, Sierra 77 HPBT set at touch, Varget at 24.1 grains was the best load. I’ll start playing with seating depth next. For the second: Same ingredients but 24.7 grains Varget is where it liked. That one also liked 22.6 (it actually shot a better group, 3 times)but I’m going to work with the higher charge first. Does that help?

I like varget for the 69 to 80 gn bullets. H322 works good for 60gn and under in my 1-8 Criterion barrels Savage

Unhelpful post, but the general experience is that Varget is the best powder for heavier bullets in the 223. I confess, that before the great powder famine, I have not tried 8208, using all mine in a Grendel.

An unsupported story, told to me by an Aussie shooter, is that 8208 is the Australian military load for 5.56 ( we know that is an ADI made product) and that quite a few NZ ers preferred it in semi autos, prior to our wonderful government stealing them from us.

Yes thank you. I’ll back off those a bit and give it a try

Ok. Hope it helped. Meanwhile, I dug around the way back of my powder cabinets and found 4 lbs. of 8208 I “forgot” I bought , so Thank you to the guys that posted those loads. Seems, these days, that what I did a year or two ago isn’t so clear as it used to be!
