Tight bore & Pressure Increase (.308 win)

All of my current rifle use standard bore with .300/.308 Barrel.

I just got a new Bartlein barrel #14 which spec as .299/.308 for replace my XCR. Never has an experienced with tighter bore.

So, the tighter bore of 0.001 will create pressure raise up rapidly?

How many gr of powder charge should be reduce for tighter bore?

Re: Tight bore & Pressure Increase

I just had a 6 dasher built (I supplied the barrel) and Clarence Hammonds told that the bore was a just over .235. Normally 6mm's run .236-.237. I started a little lower than I wanted too but I worked up to a full load with out issues of over pressure. So I'd suggest starting a little lower than normal and working your way up to let the gun tell you.
