The original Richard Franklin model 5 stock had a high comb above the grip for this issue. It also available as a rounded forearm, walking varminter style model 11.I am in the process of gathering items for my next build. I was wondering if stock makers sell laminated thumbhole stocks with an adjustable cheekpiece. I realize the concave butt section of a thumbhole stock would make this kinda hard.
There we go!It’s not laminated but the Manners T5A is one the most comfortable stocks I’ve ever used. I I think we have about 20 of them between myself and a few friends because of the ergonomics and comfort. Everyone that gets behind one buys one.. Yoy can get it with a carbon shell if you want it lighter or heavier glass shell.
Boyd at-one stock got one on my f-class 600yd rifle had to add some weight but thats not an issueI am in the process of gathering items for my next build.
