Thread protectors

John: I've been using the rubber foot pads that are available for the tube legs on kitchen stools. The inside diameter on the ones I have are 1" and they fit over the barrel threads on my Remington, Panda, Bat, etc. threaded barrels.
They provide excellent protection for all my switch-barrels, at a cost of less than $1.00 each, available at almost all hardware stores.
Sinclair has threaded delrin barrel caps, described as fitting Stolle, Nesika, Bat, Viper, but the thread size is 1/16" x 18 tpi, at $9.95 each.
I still prefer the rubber caps that provide plenty of protection, can be "screwed" on when new, or pushed on as they wear.

I think these are the ones I got. Choose the one that fits and is available in a small size. I have them for standard and large shank Savage barrels to protect my threads. They sent me several sample sizes to make sure I got the one I wanted.
