Thread protector and barrel caps

I have more Savage barrels than my wife needs to know about. I have picked up a few rubber thread protectors. My shop has really bad moisture (humidity) problems in the summer and I want to protect my barrels. The only sources I have found wants you to buy a 1000 count of each size. I need a couple of dozen each to fit both large and small shank barrels and ends in a variety of sizes. Anybody got a lead where I can pick these up cheap? Tim

Rubber feet that are meant for wood chair legs work well as barrel thread protectors. Your local hardware store should have a variety of sizes. I use them to protect the muzzle and chamber ends of my spare barrels.
