Thoughts or experience with Osprey International Scopes

Looking at a 10-40x50 Osprey International for a low cost, long range scope. Wondering if anyone has used one or another product of theirs and maybe could give some input on quality and pros/cons. I know it's a lesser scope than a lot of others, but it offers a lot of magnification at low cost.
I have read a few favorable reviews, but I trust the answers I get on here. As long as it's reasonably clear, holds zero and tracks decent it will serve my needs at this time.

Thanks

Got one in my hands right now. So far it's amazingly good for the dollar. Or maybe that's what the salesman told me, anyway I've had it about a year but I've only used it a couple times. The glass looks good and it sighted in ok. I didn't really run it through the paces yet. It has illuminated reticles although cheesy, they work. I think these things sell for $124.00 if you subscribe to American rifleman.
It's heavy, I was told it has like 8 lenses in it. I have it on a, well I'll just show ya.

Yeah, I forgot I need a $1200 scope on a $300 back up rifle that may or may not get used. With your excellent grammar skillz you obviously didn't read my post very well, where I state it is known to be of lesser quality.

We like to put the scopes your referring to on our other guns. This is a plinking $300.00 jobber. Come to think of it, I am feeling a little loco, but thanks for the heads up.

i had one of there tactical 4x16 30mm scopes. sighted in ok but didnt seem to hold zero very well. as expected it didnt track very well. for what its worth i would pick another brand. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I have a Tasco 6-24x42 that I really like, so I think I might just go with their 10-40x50 from the same line. Tasco has been around for a long time, and I have several of their products on everything from air rifles and rimfires as well as a few centerfires. They have all been decent, though again they are not top quality competition glass, and I am not a top competing shooter. But they work great for what I need.

I put good glass on what warrants good glass, all others get what's cheap and still works. I am not rich by any means.

have heard pretty good things about vortex scopes also and they have a lower budget line as well. good luck.
