I'm still researching that but it seems the German government bought some for primary handgun training. I'm trying to find out how many. Why was it proofed in germany?
How about a 17-3 wearing an 8-3/8" barrel, target hammer and trigger, with its original box and delivered in single-action only~? Earlier 17s and definitely sweet~!!I don't have a M-17, but I do have a K22. Same gun, different designation. I love mine. Even though it's pretty old and a little rough, it's a ton of fun to shoot! Still very accurate, very easy on the wrist/hand, and very easy on the wallet to shoot a lot. If you're a S&W fan, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one or the other.

That is an understatement~!!Wonderful pistols.
It depends on what kind of shooting you're going to do on any given day. The 17-3, is the way to go if you enjoy serious accuracy. When I feel like shooting really small groups I take mine with an 8-3/8" pinned barrel, full target. S/A ONLY. For plinking and grinning I take my 6" 17-4 which also has 3-Ts and had a full action job. It's so slick you can squeeze the trigger quickly to full battery and hesitate for a tiny second before releasing the hammer. |
