Is that how the Bergara is designed, or just poor trigger-bolt timing? Actual cock-on-close is pretty rare (even BSA made the LE no 8 cock-on-open).My major bitch is the cock on close.

Welcome to the world of 22 repeaters. I have seen issues with nearly all of them. The Bergara's I have been around are pretty good, especially for the price. One of the matches we shoot, the MD has a Bergara, his has been very reliable and accurate in dirty hike & shoot field matches. Fitting the stock, DBM, magazines have a huge effect on reliability.there has been magazine issues, ejection issues.
It is simply a 40x 22 clone. It has all the same advantages and disadvantages. Is that how the Bergara is designed, or just poor trigger-bolt timing? Actual cock-on-close is pretty rare (even BSA made the LE no 8 cock-on-open).
It's bergera design cock on close. I think it's actually half cocked on open fully cock on. Close. Either way. I'm not a fan of it. Simular to the ruger 77-17wsm I have.Is that how the Bergara is designed, or just poor trigger-bolt timing? Actual cock-on-close is pretty rare (even BSA made the LE no 8 cock-on-open).
Could you expand on that please? I shoot Prone in the UK, where 40Xs have a very limited impact; I think I've seen one in 25 years of shooting. It is simply a 40x 22 clone. It has all the same advantages and didisadvantages.
