Those visiting the west for PDogs should see Yellowstone NP.

My wife and I went threw Yellowstone Park all day yesterday we live just north in Livingston. We saw 14 bears, 2 huge bull elk already, baby griz and baby black bears, as well as a griz chasing a herd of elk trying to kill another calf after taking one down. A few days ago we watched at a distance 2 black bears breeding. Bears tend to do breeding in the month of June. So if your in the area take a day to see the wonders of nature. One man from Arkansas said got here on Sat. and in 3 1/2 days our family have seen 35 bears their running everywhere looking for mating partners now..... Your tip for the day....

I’ve always said the three most shocking things to me in nature is the speed of a grizzly, the size of a bull moose and the size of a wolf. It’s possible to see all three in Yellowstone.

How many foreigners were there taking selfies with the animals and tormenting them,a great park but I won't go when the crowds hit last time there 10 years,no brats ,no foreigners, always wanted to hit it in spring what's your experience and enjoy the trip.

We were there in August 2019. I hadn't been since the early 70's so I didn't remember much of it. My wife and 2 cousins that went with us had never been. It is a must see for sure. It was a wonderful trip but we did see our share of idiots walking around what they think is a petting zoo.

You read about it all the time, its why I won't go there or GNP.
I lived for 30+ years 30 miles from GNP and have never been, nothing there that I have never seen in all my pack, hiking hunting trips elsewhere and without all the idiots.
My wife and I did take our daughters to YNP in 1989 before we moved but haven't been back i cant imagine now what its like.

GNP is on my list, have never been. But would go back to YNP and would go in late August again. Crowds were not horrible but plenty or foreigners. Retired now and don't have much interest in travel overseas but the wife wants to go. That'll make use foreigners and I'm sure they get sick of us too.

Meh, been to Yellowstone and I wouldn't waste the money again. Many spectacular places that are not full of tourists. Its like Disneyland, but with grizzly bears that might harm your kids instead of tranny freaks...

We used to go to YNP in June and Oct for photography, I think our last visit was 2013. Found that early June was a bit late for bear young babies and generally wet. 3rd week in June is a great time as many years it's about when the rain stops and still before the crowds and heat arrive, lots of babies both born and older that time of year. June is nice for seeing bears. Oct or last week of Sept was for the elk rut and not many tourists but lots of photographers. Off season starts Oct so one needs to stay outside the park and lots of places are closed, we liked that, few people and lower rates too. If you like to walk the thermals, you also don't get such hot feet that time of year, it's an enjoyable experience compared to July. Early and late a person needs to remember it can and does snow, so like most everything just need to be aware and prepared to be flexible. If you want to visit spring or later fall, be sure to know what their road closure dates are as the loop roads are closed twice a year during each transition. Winter is still on the bucket list, not sure we'll ever do it but time will tell.

I went hiking in the Tetons and Yellow Stone several times. Always went the first week of Sept. The kids have to go back to school and the weather is still good. Saw 1 bear and many Elk.

After Labor Day visitors are referred to as "the newlyweds and almost dead" ...

I'd love to, but its another 9 1/2 hours of driving each way. Definitely on my list of things to do though. When we go, we'll probably fly. I don't think I can drive that far with 2 teenagers in the car without having to stop and bury a body along the way.

My recollection having worked there for for five summers many years ago is that avoid Labor Day Weekend and a couple of weeks past. Then the weather is nice days a bit chilly nights, the crowds have diminished from their summer insanity and you can enjoy the place.
