Ordered a new FTR reamer from JGS over the winter. Same specs as the other PTG I was using. (170 FB) As always we make a barrel stub to keep at the shop for reference. When comparing the two the JGS is 2.340 and the PTG is 2.317 about a 23k difference. (as always trying to use the same tension/pressure and got consentient results, same bullet etc) Not shocked about the 23k difference with the issues PTG has had in the past...does make me wonder who is correct though. I was very surprised I never noticed how little bullet shank is in the case. I marked the case and did some rudimentary measuring, I have about 160-165k of bullet shank in the case. Doesn't seem like much. I always thought the rough minimum was half the caliber. So rough numbers I have over the 150k. I understand this is not an easy thing to compare too others, running the same set up do to reamers, bullets, comparators etc. BUT what kind of shank numbers are you seeing.
