thorough clean vs a liquid

Has anyone done a comparison between a liquid and thorough clean?
Please don't respond with how good something else works unless you have done a fair comparison.
If you have a regiment that works as well, please share it with me, I won't tell anyone.

I've used the Thorro clean and the patchout/ accelerator, CLR and alcohol like Cortina does. Both work but to me the Thorro clean seems like it takes much less effort. JB does a fantastic job also but the clean up is a bit messy. I'm still bouncing between the systems but the Thorro clean seems to be the least time consuming and easiest, especially for a deep clean.
