Thompson center

Have/ have had many contenders and encores from 22 Lr to 416 Rigby. The best thing I have done is go to Mike Bellm's for all needed information and parts like trigger tune kits, headspace parts, and oversize hinge pins. https://www.bellmtcs.com/bellm
This is truly a game changer for those wanting the best out of their T/C single shots
I just got done watching one of his you tube videos on headspace, then I see this. Good info, thanks for the post.

Found a clean G1 frame in rifle form, chambered in 6.8SPc. I’m gonna order a couple barrels, small stuff, 22 k hornet and 22 squirrel. I may buy a G2 frame also just to get some hands on experience and see what the differences are.

Anyways, thanks for all the feedback and advice. It was appreciated!
Heckuva plan!
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but the barrels should interchange between G1 & G2 frames but the grips are not interchangeable.

Thanks Bocephus! Just picked up another G1 frame. I have a beautiful piece of walnut I could use for a custom stock on this one, should be enough wood for a butt stock and a couple forearms. I’ll call Bullberry tomorrow.

Anybody have any recommend for TC stock makers?

If there's anything else I can help with feel free to send me a PM.
By the way, my all time favorite is a 15" TC Fox Ridge in 221FB. Before the coyotes decimated our chuck population several years back, it made a believer out of me, several other fellows and a whole passel of the dirt-dwellers.

Been contendering starting back in mid 70‘s I don’t like the new ones/ encores for my use, barrels are easy to buy, sale are trade. the 7 TCU was design for silhouette shooting I’ve had several of those barrels both 10 and 14 inch. Contenders and barrel trading can be addictive but fun

I picked up a clean G2 frame in pistol form with four barrels. 22, 223, 30-30 and 45-70 with a brake. I have no intention of using the 45-70 barrel but that gives me 2 G1 frame and one G2 frame. I think I’m covered for a bit, no I just need to get the barrels I want to try. I’m gonna leave one of the G1 frames in pistol form and make rifle out if the other too.

I picked up a Boyds carbine stock from Haus of Arms. Fit well on my G1 frame, and the LOP fits me.

You might like that 45-70...
I’ve been using AA5744 in my 44-70 Ruger #1, took a lot of the bite out of it And is very accurate. Shot it a little over 900 times last year and really have grown to enjoy it. Do you have a pistol load that isn’t too violent for lack of a better word. Lol

Yessir, you are now officially in the business.
Keep the headspace tight on the bottlenecks and I think you’re going to be happ-ee!
