I received a few T/Cs pistols from an estate. Just curious around the dates of manufacture. They both have a G serial number. Both loook to be in excellent condition. One has a Custom Shop .22 Match barrel on it and the other lower serial number one is just the frame and grip. Serial numbers G1154x G262x. Any info would be great.

If I remember correctly, the frames that the serial number started with G, it is a contender G2 and they were first sold in 2000. If the frame looks like first pic, it is a G2 and they look like a small version of the Encore. Serial number info on the G2 almost does not exist. If it looks like the second pic, it is an original 'G1' contender and the serial number info above is correct

Doesn't the "G" Conterder frame have a different trigger assembly? Similar to the Encore?

The contender G2 has the same style trigger assembly as Encore. They both have a trigger assembly similar to a Revolver.

I have a 1998 vintage stainless steel Contender with a 10" .22LR barrel. My Ruger stainless MKII shoots better.
