This is the 22BR I built

Purchased a used Kreiger 1-12 twist barrel from a friend. Bought a new-in-the-box Rem 700 action from a member here and a new stock from Urban Rifleman. Put a Rifle Basix trigger in it and a Nightforce competition scope. Shooting Sierra 55gr Blitz Kings and VV N-135 powder at 28.7gr for velocity of 3464. For a used barrel it manages to shoot .290 groups at 200 yards. Going to stretch it out to 300 and see if it will hold that accuracy.

I like the trigger guard, is it a Sunny Hill?
With a 12 twist I would be tempted to try the 53 V-Max but it looks like you’ve got the accuracy part nailed down.Great looking and shooting rig, thanks for sharing.

Trigger guard is Bat and Urban Rifleman sells them in his store.
I have a whole mess of 22 caliber bullets that will work in this, wish I had enough powder to play with them all. So far it likes the Hornady 53gr FB match bullets and the Speer TNT do pretty good but these Sierra Blitz King's are the most accurate and they love a huge jump (.020 to .050 shoot the same) which gives me a wide window.

Whoo-Hoo it holds up at distance! Shot this 5 shot group at 300 yards last night. Only took 10 rounds and used 5 getting the scope close then managed this...
4 in one clover leaf measures .239 but the one i yanked pushes the group to a .694. This will be my match gun for our varmint shoot on the 25th, let's see if I choke...

Wow, very nice. Well put together. Approx what year is the Rem action? I/d be very happy with that project.
I bought the action from a member on here and it's a newer style with the "dot matrix" code on it. Not sure of the year? It's a nice action but the X-mark pro trigger had like a 9 pound pull, just horrible...

Was anything doesn't to the action if I may ask? Trued? Timed? Thread work? Bushed? Firing pin work? Shoots amazing I might add. Very nice.

Nice Rifle and a nice job putting it together. So the barrel was chambered when you got it? Was the headspace ok as it was or did you have to adjust it? You fit the barrel yourself? i have a 22br project coming up.

The barrel was finished and had been shot so it took a little work to get it headspaced. The used barrel came with dies and fired brass so I had some to work with. I used a fired piece and my headspace gauges to fit my own barrel. I had to order a thicker than stock recoil lug and mill it down in thickness to get it to headspace properly.
Normally I'm a die hard Savage person but I have built a couple of Rem 700's and I'm kinda liking them for parts availability plus the Remage barrels are making it nice for headspacing, now if they just had "swappable" bolt heads!
