This begging just has to stop!

The ten pointer from last year is back and I think I have created a monster. ;)

If I don't come out and give him corn when he comes in, he looks for me until he finds me. I finally went out and gave him some corn.

His brow tines are doubled up, don't know if he will make a twelve or not.

There is a very wide 8 pointer behind him, just about as bad a begger.

I know, I know.......I started this crap!

I was working on the drivers side mirror on my truck earlier today. About 15’ in front are 2 small chicken coops with my daughters 4H birds. A big local doe walks right over to the plastic garbage can we keep the feed in and try’s to push it over right in front of me. Chicken lay crumbles and pellets are deer crack for those that don’t know. When she couldn’t knock the lid off she went over to the fig tree.

Nice problem to have, did you feed them in the winter ? We feed during the winter but have never had any stick around during the summer. We still see them but they don't come looking for food.

Deer are wonderful out in the wild - something to hunt and be proud of a successful hunt. I admire those who are good enough to take them with a bow.

But when I find them in my yard, neighborhood, or fields, they seem to transform into feral goats that live to consume until they destroy. Then again, we are covered up with them; not like other states.

Yes, I feed in the winter and I have some food plots. When we had the 4 feet of snow I had to plow a deer yard and was feeding 25 at one time. These two I am sure I "raised" as fawns, but they haven't been around for several years. Just showed up last winter and decided to stick around.

They will be gone in another month or so, and I may not see them again.

I’m having the same problem. Deer walk right up to my front porch. When I come outside they walk up to me. I put corn out once to have the deer stop in my yard long enough for my son to see and they’ve been coming back ever since.
