Thinking of buying a Brux

I really like the Brux barrels. .223, 6MM, and .308 for the last 10 years at least. I haven't had a bad barrel yet.

I just received my first Brux barrel chambered in 6x47 Lapua. A ligh barrel in a number 3 contour. Scary accurate with the Berger 105 HVLD. I would not hesitate to use another Brux. As good as any barrel that I have ever owned.

I have at least 6 Brux bbld guns and they all shoot great. I have 2 other guns with other makers bbls and one is a total disappointment and the other shoots a minute high on the first shot.

I would love to visit those barrel manufacturers. Apparently, many of them are within a few miles. And besides I belong to the Tulsa Packer Backers, and I do enjoy a nice cheese plate and a fine pilsner on rare occasion. What is not to like??

I bought the 1-7.5 and I got a 31" HV blank. I think I will make it 29" same as my first 243 barrel, or maybe 30", but much more and it won't fit in my case

I have one Brux barrel as it is on my most recent build, a .260 Ackley. When working up a load for it, I used media formed brass and tested 3 shots per load. Shots 17,18, and 19 produced a .004 inch group. This on a tactical A5 when my prized BENCH guns shoot .012-.020. It has never coppered at all and seems to be magic.
