new barrels

In my opinion Dan Muller of Muller Works Barrels is making the best centerfire and rimfire barrels. He offers both cut and button rifled barrels.

I don't shoot competition but I build a lot of varmint fun rifles. The last three barrels have been Brux. I think Brux, Kreiger and Bartlien all make a great barrel but the wait time and customer service is first rate at Brux. Easy to deal with, great barrels.

Haven't tried mine yet Nat, but Dan made me a new 30 caliber 19tw blank in 4 days and sent it to Larry Feusse out in Michigan to have it chambered in 30 Gorilla and he didn't charge me one penny for it. All he wanted me to do was text him and tell him how it shoots. Dan's a great guy to deal with.

I became interested in Douglas, after hearing Richard Schatz was using them last year. I placed my order with Mr. Stan Taylor, a dedicated 1000 yd competitor, who seemed to bend over backwards with letting me know options on twist and bore sizes. I chambered it in the Shawty which is the 6BR Imp, and from limited time I have spent with it. It shoots as well as any new tube I have in the shed. The option on bore sizes was something new to me. It was a very pleasant experience working with Stan, I learned a lot talking with him, he knows lots of the same folks I do.

With the guidance of Mr. Apple you'll soon be SSOY. Trust me!
Eddie. Why did I know for a fact that you were going to say that! LMFAO! To be honest with you Eddie, I'm not interested in SSOY, Hell I'm not even interested in Maine score shooter of the year. Jarvais said to me last year, your good enough to win this thing up here, and I said, I'm really not interested in it. I just enjoy shooting and the people that I shoot against. You couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys. I'm coming down to Thurmont this year for the 100-200. Hope to see you there because you owe me a beer. LOL!

Well your right. Buying a barrel is like a crap shoot.

Bottom line is its your money spend it how you like
There are some who just naturally have to go against the grain.. or do it the hard way
When you gamble you want to bet with the odds in your favor if you can.
I've wasted some money on barrels for sure.
Simple numbers don't lie the over whelming number of Bartliens and Kriegers used in registered competition is pretty apparent
