I've been working with a new Savage F/TR in 308. In working my way up and down the bullet weight / brand spectrum I hit upon this load using Lapua 185 Senecars.
I was loading various charge weights of Varget in Norma cases with CCI BR primers. I went from 41 grains to 44. The loads with 42.5 grains seemend to be the best out of them all. Bullets were seated 1/4 turn in, of the RCBS dies seating stem off the lands. I'm just using the X-dies at this point as I also reload for a DPMS LR308T
I shot at ranges from 100 to 500 yds. 4 shot groups. I'm going to try again to post pics of the targets. I had to re-size them quite a bit and the quality is poor now. I'll post them in order, from 100 to 500.
It feels good to see thing finally starting to come together.
