I just sold my Savage 12 LRPV to Cabelas, Scarborough, Maine, yesterday. They will probably put it up around $900, which I think is a good deal. What a tack driver, if I lived anywhere near prairie dog country, I never would have sold. It is not trad. wood stock, and it is heavy, but WOW, what a shooter. The left hand feed/right hand bolt is very nice for benchrest or F class, or shooting varmints from a stand. It that is too non-trad. for you, I agree with the comments about CZ 527, I have one in .223, a Mannlicher stock, and it is very sweet. I have better benchrest guns, and don't hunt anymore, but still cannot bring my self to let go of it.
BTW, I am posting some surplus .204 reloading supplies, dies, bullets, brass, powder funnel, in the for sale section, at good prices, if any of you are interested. I no longer have a .204, so it is all surplus, plus some surplus .308 and 30-06 brass.
