I looking for things to do between matches in WV. We are going to the 1,000 Nationals and the Fairmont match. Looking for things to do in between.

Thanks!

Well there's always ground hogs !!! West Virginia has alot of ground hogs. Knock on some doors. Many farmers are glad to have help keeping them in check.

Beautiful country. My Grandson played football at WVU and visited a few times briefly. I believe you could visit Melvin Forbes and his lightweight rifle building place.

Seneca Rocks is about 1.5hrs from your range I believe. If you're a hiker, etc. a very cool place to check out. There are few facilities close for lodging and food, unless you camp. The rocks are fairly close to Spruce Knob and Dolly Sods. Also nice places, but they're back off the main roads.

I travel through WV as many as 12 times per year. Attractions fairly close to White Horse are numerous. Someone already mentioned rafting, but in the same area is the New River Gorge. https://www.adventuresonthegorge.com/resort/new-river-gorge

Just an hour NE of White Horse is Falling Water. https://www.fallingwater.org/#

Also an hour NE is Fort Necessity and Laurel Caverns. https://www.nps.gov/fone/index.htm http://www.laurelcaverns.com/

Even closer to Reade Range is NASA in WV. http://www.wvspacegrant.org/

About 30 minutes south of New River Gorge in Beckley WV is the West Virginia Coal Mining Museum. http://www.beckley.org/general-information-coal-mine/ The tours include going down into an actual coal mine.

An hour North of White Horse is the Meadows Racetrack and Casino along with the Tanger Outlets. https://www.meadowsgaming.com/ https://www.tangeroutlet.com/pittsburgh/stores

In Wheeling, WV is a large Cabela's Store. http://www.cabelas.com/stores/West_Virginia/Triadelphia/010.jsp

I think he has a week or more between the matches.

My dad used to drive down alot and go over skyline drive. I never did and don't know where it is at. He used to go to Wheeling and listen to country music. I never did either one. Matt

Wheeling and Fairmont are only roughly 1.5 hours apart. Easy drive.
