One gentleman with whom I shoot benchrest has had similar problems. During one match he fired his rifle and caught his Night Force scope in his hands as it flew backwards. On another occasion his tuner flew 15 feet or so downrange. Some people just have interesting lives I suppose.

It takes only seconds to a few minutes of routine maintenance to properly tighten, or at least check pretty much anything that requires tightening.

Yes! Not to mention that once you Loc-Tite screws with blue or red you cannot check them again. I like Purple Loc-Tite for some of my small screws because it is "reusable," so I can still check tightness.

But mainly I just check them all now and then. Then I KNOW.
