The below info is provided for others who might be looking for an adjustable butt plate option that doesn't show up on the first page of pay-to-play Google search results.
My McMillan A5 was fitted with a Limbsaver pad.
It worked just fine for the type of shooting I originally envisioned when commissioning the rifle.
However, my interests migrated to FTR and it became clear to me that my current set-up wasn't working. (Only making contact with the top 1" of the pad & causing bruising on the bones after a 45 shot match.)
I scoured Google and the Forum archives looking for something that would be thin & adjustable. I was hoping to avoid cutting the stock or needing to drastically reduce barrel weight. Sadly most of the options that showed up were thick, heavy, expensive and ugly. (You know the ones I'm talking about that cost $100+, are more than an inch thick and weigh 13-18 ounces.)
I stumbled upon this link while sifting through trap shooting archives looking for the same.
After talking with the owner, I selected his prone specific model which shifts all of the adjustment range to the "up" direction. I went with the "trap" pad (curved on top & bottom) from Kick-eez based on other prone shooters' feedback.
Customer service from Mr. Jones was as good as any I've experienced in the shooting industry.
I'm not sure that he frequents this forum, but I welcome corrections in the event that anything I've offered is incorrect.
If any of my above frustrations apply to you, this product might be worth looking into.

- It is designed to be adjusted frequently and has never come loose during shooting.
- A must for cleaning and some stowage/transport constraints
- It can be rotated and offset laterally.
- It is 0.395" thick and weighs 4.1 ounces.
- The pad adaptor is defaulted to the standard (M) Kick-eez pad shape = no grinding.
- The stock adaptor plate is slotted to accommodate existing screw spacing.
- The stock adaptor plate has been designed/machined to minimize grinding to fit.
- Not yet finished in photos
- Length & trim can be further adjusted through the use of hard plastic spacers.
- Two holes must be drilled in the Kick-eez pad in order to access the adjustment allen screws, but this service was provided at no extra charge.
- Probably best to verify your stock dimensions before ordering. I know replacement plates are available, but am not sure if he is offering other sizes at this time. There wasn't too much extra material to be ground off to accommodate my A5, especially near the toe (lower portion).
- The black anodized finish is uniform and holding up well after a couple months of range only use.
