This 42lb, perfect furred up coyote was feeding on an antelope to the left of the 2 track about 80 yards in a small drainage. He never heard us drive up and walk over to the highest knob there and see it, tall grasses block it so we hold off to insure its a coyote as its not even noticing us. I hit vole distress on the caller so I don't blow it out of there, it wanders over to the call then decides to leave. I should of dropped it on the crest but was waiting for my pal since I shot the last 3. Well it left and the next thing I know it pops into the lower field and I put my thermal dot on its back and it drops.
I'm a happy camper. 10 min after this the wind goes to 20+ and it starts to dump snow on us so we call it quits out there.
It was carrying the hind leg of an antelope all that time.
Deleted the video link and attached this one.
