Thermal at 275 yds, RETRY video.

This 42lb, perfect furred up coyote was feeding on an antelope to the left of the 2 track about 80 yards in a small drainage. He never heard us drive up and walk over to the highest knob there and see it, tall grasses block it so we hold off to insure its a coyote as its not even noticing us. I hit vole distress on the caller so I don't blow it out of there, it wanders over to the call then decides to leave. I should of dropped it on the crest but was waiting for my pal since I shot the last 3. Well it left and the next thing I know it pops into the lower field and I put my thermal dot on its back and it drops.
I'm a happy camper. 10 min after this the wind goes to 20+ and it starts to dump snow on us so we call it quits out there.
It was carrying the hind leg of an antelope all that time.

Deleted the video link and attached this one.

I changed some settings and it opens when I click on the video picture without having to sign into flicker/yahoo.

Yahoo owns flicker, thats how you sign into your flicker picture account when you click flicker sign in link.

Right. But I click Flicker links and view shared photos all the time without logging in. Kind of defeats the ease-of-use aspect. Is it possible the OP needs to change a permission setting on Flicker? Just a thought ...

PS I can see the photos without clicking and going to Flicker, I just thought maybe higher resolution might be available.

I revert back to my original comment about permissions. I have a Yahoo! account, and when I log in to Flicker(*), it takes my login, but alas it says "Oops! You don't have permission to view this video." If the OP wanted us to view the video, he would need need to set permissions to allow that.

(* It's odd it makes me log into Yahoo! again, since i am already logged in for my e-mail access on this PC.)

It works for me. Do you know what that black spot is that shows earlier? One time the crosshair was on it while you were searching. Matt
That's a chunk of ice in the field, snow shows up as black when its on white hot setting.
Glad the video can be seen now.

Awesome. He ran a long ways, stopped to check you out tho, right? To check his six, it seems.
nice shooting. Yote would have been walking, otherwise, right.

Your reticle, illuminated or standard?
It's totally dark, no moon or snow reflection?

So you didn't call him in, just vole call for cover?

When we walked to the crest of a 2 track we saw something that was not really moving a lot in a small drainage, but threw a good thermal hot spot. Tall grasses blocked us from getting a good ID on it. I set the call next to me and played vole distress, it finally came out of the small dip it was feeding in and onto the 2 track, that's when it was 100% ID'd as a coyote, it walked towards the call and decided to leave. Thermal scope, reticle/screen is illuminated. I blew a short howl using my turkey diaphragm when I finally picked it back up out there, it stopped to look back and that's when I took the shot.
