Theres been way more swap back than has stayed. If 700s are rated in the lowly category by so many, I
have to wonder why most custom actions are a copy.
I will go out on a limb and say, if a person is a consistent
winner with brand X custom action, he or she could
take a 700 thats properly prepared and do the same thing.
I'll compare this to winners who dumped Jewell Triggers
for a B&A. They are still winners but have twice the
investment in their trigger. It must be a feel good thing.
BTW Congratulation Jerry. LDS
Remington's design is one of the best ever. It is their execution that has gone lacking. If 700s are rated in the lowly category by so many, I

Congrats to a fellow Jerry! We do get out licks in some days. That's what my friends tell me. Anyway, I was the only one to take to the line with a Rem 700 at the California Palma State Championships on Mar 7,8, 2020. So I would have been guaranteed that award.
There were a couple of rifles shooting better than mine at certain distances (800, 900 and 1000) and some rifles had higher X counts.
But at the end of the 2nd day when we added them all up, my score was highest (F-Class).
Hey Jerry, we forgot to tell you about your Bear Trophy... you are supposed to shoot a Palma Rifle on the F class target to win that one. You will have to turn it back in! Just kidding, we shot together on the last day and that was fine shooting. It is a bit odd how the plaque says “Palma Rifle F Class” on it. Glad you SoCal guys came to shoot with us. Mike
I love my Borden and have another coming. I'll bet you're going to love it, especially if Jim times a Jewell to it before shipping so that it's buttery and perfect on close!Full disclosure: In the changing environment at my day job, my skills have become quite valuable and I've gotten 2 nice promotions in the past 2 years. So I've gone to the dark side and bought 2 Bordens....not expecting more accuracy, just nice. A Bentley doesn't do any better job of getting you to work than an Acura, but it is more enjoyable. --Jerry
